Strategies
Here are some strategies for the three different game types in Greg
Hastings Pro Tournament Paintball.
Elimination: Ok, this one is pretty straight forward, tag all the
opposing players. When the round starts, the first thing I always do is
hold my gun up in the air with the vertical snap, so I can shoot over
any obstacles that my opponents might be hiding behind. And since you
really dont have the greatest guns in the world at the beginning of the
game, I wouldnt recommend getting too close to your opponents unless you
have to because the guns in the beginning of the game dont shoot very
fast. After this pretty much a game of point and shoot, not too hard.
Center Flag: For this game type there is a flag in the center of the
field that you must grab and hang on your opponents starting box. I
start this one off the same way I do on any game type, by using the
vertical snap button to keep my opponents heads down. Then use your
turbo, and try to get the flag, so you automatically get the first grab
20 points, which can be pretty crucial. From this point on, its pretty
much the same game as Elimination. After you have eliminated all of
your opponents, run over to their side, and hang the flag on their
starting box.
Capture the Flag: This game type is almost exactly like the other two,
only you have to grab the flag from the other teams starting box, and
then take it back to yours. The easiest way to do this is by
eliminating the opposing team, and walking over, grabbing the flag and
taking it back to your box.
Here's a strategy sent in from James.
"When I start I like to get an open view right out of the begginning of the opponents
starting box.
I shoot for about 2 seconds and I run to an open bunker.
As you start to get used to this you will eventually start picking off more and more
of their men."
Special Items
In the Game you can get special items for completing certain tournaments,
heres a list of them.
Bonus Experience points: Im not 100% positive on how you start to get
these, you either unlock them when your players stats are maxed out, or
when you win the English open. They Allow you to unlock God Mode, Slow
Motion Mode, and Extra Logos for your team. God mode and Slow Motion
mode will only work in Arcade mode, and these bonus items, cost 25 exp
points.
Hints/Tips/Cheats
Heres a small tip for when youre playing tournament mode, and it is just
one of those common sense things, but a lot of people never use it.
After each match you win, SAVE YOUR GAME. That way if you loose the
next match, you can load your game and just replay the match you lost
instead of replaying the whole tournament.
Another nice thing to know is your opponent possitions, when you're
playing some of the bigger matches like 5vs5 or 7vs7, you will almost
always have one enemy in the back left. one in the back right, and
sometimes one in the back middle.
